Utilization of technology that is developing at this time is still felt to be very lacking in the rural environment. The rural environment that is far from the city makes them also minimal in the ability in the ICT world. Not because of the problem of available access, but many young people who do not really understand the benefits of this ICT. Through this training it is hoped that the youth of the mosque will be more eager to hone their abilities in the ICT world. Through simple applications, it is hoped that they will be able to develop the potential of the mosque and the environment around the mosque both the academic world, agriculture, animal husbandry, IT-based tourism. For example, through a simple web, they can inform tourist attractions, or can be used for promotional sales of agricultural and farming. Through awareness of the use of ICT, we hope that the youth of this mosque can be directed to study simple programs/coding that can be useful for. The basis of programming capabilities can be developed by forming an IT community through the guidance of Telkom University lecturers.
The purpose of community service with this regular scheme is to provide programming training for youth mosques at the Abu Bakar Maniskidul Mosque, Kuningan, West Java. Abu Bakar Mosque in Kuningan Regency which has the number of teenagers of mosques up to more than 100 people. The number of teenagers of this mosque is so many because this mosque is near the environment of Madrasah Tsaniwiyah and Aliyah in the Maniskidul area. This mosque is in the middle of the countryside so that information about the world of technology is very minimal. Because of information about this minimal technology, many mosque teenagers are still "gaptek" with the use of technology. In the midst of strategic issues about digital transformation today, one of the obstacles faced by young people there is the ability to use computer devices, especially in the ability of programming. The potential of the region is quite good both from agriculture and the quality of human resources young people make us plan to make ICT literacy training and their use. Our hope with this training, youth mosque youth are motivated to learn programming to create simple applications that are beneficial for the environment around the mosque.
Some of the benefits felt in this training:
- Mosque teenagers are able to use computers and smartphones for things that are more useful in increasing learning.
- Meranganag mosque teenagers to be more competitive with the current digital era with a simple project during the training.
- Provide new insights to mosque teenagers about the development of information technology.
- Stimulates mosque teenagers to continue to explore information and practice their basic abilities in information technology
Thus our community service activity will be carried out in the hope that the youth of the mosque will also have qualified provisions to face the challenges of the times in the digital era.
