Presenting a reality or real object is generally referred to as a system modeling . This is so that it can be understood by those who are interested in equating a set of charts, graphics and mathematics.
According to Grady Booch, James Rumbaugh and Ivar Jacobson the principles of modeling are:
- Choosing what model is used, how the problem is and how with the solution.
- Each model can be expressed in different levels
- The best model is related to reality.
- There has never been a single model that is quite good, every good system has a series of independent small models.
The principle of system modeling does not focus too much on what form of model to design a system, the form of this model is free, can use any form, in accordance with our wishes, for example can be a narrative, prototype, or image, the most important thing is to be able to represent the visualization of the system of the system desired by the user, because the final system created for users will be reduced from the results of the model.
Type of information system modeling
In the development of information systems there must be a common view of the concept of objects that refer to uniformity. Where later this development will evolve and develop into a very relevant technology model and methodology. This object approach is better known as Unified Modeling Language. With the advantage of modeling techniques will create a logical representation that can be verified.
Examples to test diagrams for business procedures by using imagination and mental paths. All of these processes are used to bring up the required output. Here are some of these modeling, namely:
Business modeling
Modeling that has passed the representation test will give birth to a business modeling. However, before running the modeling, it must run the information system. Where the procedure prioritizes performance and business aspects to further improve. That is why a business must be clear in running a system.
Especially related to information systems commonly called pure businesses. The business aims to be able to bridge for users in the field of business and technology. If the business that has been run according to the system, it will succeed and skyrocketed.
Of course the end result will produce an artifact such as:
- Activity Diagram.
- End to End Business Processes.
- Action Narratives.
- Business Process Diagram.
Application modeling
Modeling technique is a system related to business. Thus, it can determine the business model that will be run. This is in order to bring up an application needed in the business.
Business flow is essentially closely related to an external view. Certainly will involve users to be able to interact using the application. This application modeling displays an atmosphere and abstraction business that is reflected in the application.
The discussion will always be related to functional and non -functional. With this discussion it will make it easier for business users in implementing technology.
For artifacts produced in application modeling, namely:
- Scenarios
- Business Objects.
- User Interface Model (dialogue and prototype.
Operational System Modeling
This modeling is always related to technology which bridges operational system buildings. This is used to translate the application model to be more specific and know the parts that have been created. As an example relating to Middleware services, construction is more devoted to programming and data models.
By using the system it will be able to interact in supporting external activities. This modern requires non -functional such as performance, platform, throughput and scalability.
The discussion must contain this so that it can be used in the internal field of technology that will produce artifacts, namely:
- Screen Specifications.
- Data entry validation relax.
- Navigation.
- Front End Components.
- Application Server Components.
- Model data
- Data access components.
The resulting artifacts will give birth to three types of modeling to operate a business. Because in running a business not only knows how to run it. However, there is a need for consideration to be able to operate all systems to be useful.
One of them is by introducing the existence of information systems in every business activity. For example in modeling the application needs to bring up the screen, metaphor and abstraction. The application will later be used by users as tools in intuitive and effective for work procedures.
This is for the sake of launching their work process so as not to be hampered. Where the modeling has produced a very collective software. A software that is needed in order to fulfill the functional application. However, there must be a non -functional requirement.
System modeling is always related to information technology. Of course all the discussions can be obtained if you are at Telkom University where a campus is quite prominent in Indonesia.
