The culture of eating vegetables has existed since ancient times, even long before there is nutritional science which clearly stated its health benefits. According to many literature, ancient humans have eaten more products from plants than meat, because that is indeed the food that is widely available around them. Along with the development of civilization, agricultural culture was finally developed. The concept of "hydroponic" is a cultivation of planting by utilizing water/nutrient mineral solution without using soil by emphasizing the fulfillment of nutritional needs for plants. This "hydroponic" planting system is a concept of growing suitable for urban areas and limited land. The expected long -term output from this service is to improve income and improve welfare through hydroponics. The result of this dedication is the formation of a hydroponic garden which is placed in RT 04/RW 08 Kelurahan Kujangsari which is managed together by residents.

There are various kinds of vegetables planted by residents in the garden that are managed together. The majority are vegetables that are crissed with leaves such as water spinach, kenikir leaves, sweet potatoes. There are also eggplant vegetables, long beans, tomatoes, chili and family medicinal plants. In addition there are also telang flower plants whose flowers can be brewed as tea. During this community service activity, residents seemed enthusiastic when introduced by hydroponic farming and distributed planting media and several vegetable seeds to be sown on the residents' gardening land.

This community service activity was carried out by a team consisting of: Mr. Denny Sukma Eka Atmaja, ST, M.Sc., Ibu Murni Dwi Astuti, ST, MT and Mrs. Ayudita Oktafiani, ST, M.Sc. Here are some documentation of the implementation of community service activities that have been carried out in RT 04/RW 08 Kelurahan Kujangsari.
