Career insight is one of the important aspects for adolescents in the high school level. This is because they will soon be faced with choices to determine the majors or study programs at a higher level. The existence of students who after entering a particular department feels wrong choosing a major is one of the consequences of the lack of career insight while at the high school level (SMA). Some of the possible causes of the inaccuracy of the selection of this department, among others, when they are still in high school levels they do not know where they will study, what majors will be chosen, and do not know how to find other related information. This is part of a career insight material that needs to be strengthened early so that there is no mistake in choosing college majors.
Nengeri 14 (SMAN 14) Senior High School Bandung is one of the State Schools with Accreditation A. SMAN 14 has several superior programs such as character development and eduexpo located on Jalan Yudawastu Pramuka IV No. 4, Cicadas, Cibeunying Kidul District, Bandung City.
SMAN 14 in the near future, will graduate 356 class XII students. From the results of internal surveys conducted by the school, more than 96% of their students will continue their education to a higher level. While the rest are interested in working directly (source: internal data of SMAN 14). From the choice of students who want to continue to higher education, some students still cannot choose majors or campuses to be targeted, only provide information that interested in conducting further studies to college. Including also for students who choose to directly work, this does not explain what to work as or in what field. This situation shows that students' understanding related to the scope of future career choices is still limited.
In the age of adolescents, there is a tendency to explore identity, interests, talents, and determine ideals. But often many teenagers who still do not know their respective goals (Salima et al., 2022). Therefore, a career understanding is needed that can provide attractiveness and strengthen information that supports the exploration process.
To facilitate these needs, SMAN 14 Bandung in collaboration with the Professional Human Capital (HC) of the Faculty of Industrial Engineering, Telkom University Conducting Information on Career Insight for SMAN 14 students. The event lasted half a day attended by the School Supervisor Mr. Ir. Imam Haryno, Mbat, Principal of Ms. Evi Vironika S.Pd, teachers and students of SMAN 14. The professionalism of HC was represented by Dr. Fida Nirmala Nugraha, M.Psi., Psychologist, Dr. ATYA NUR AISHA, ST, MT and LITASARI WIDYASTUTI SUWARSONO, M.Psi., Psychologist. In general, the event took place interactively where students dared to come forward and ask questions about career insight. Class XII students generally already have a picture of college majors to be chosen, only it needs to be strengthened whether the choice is her choice or aspirations from outside themselves.
